Job Description
Corryong Health is seeking a motivated Graduate Nurse to join its healthcare team and contribute to delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care. This role provides an excellent opportunity for early-career nurses to build clinical experience while working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team.
As a Graduate Nurse, you will participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring services align with best practice standards and support positive health outcomes for patients and residents.
About the Role
In this role, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver safe and compassionate care across clinical settings. You will also ensure all services align with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and Aged Care Quality Standards.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Supporting patient wellbeing through clinical assessments, care planning, and ongoing evaluation
- Upholding the rights and dignity of all patients while advocating for their needs
- Maintaining cultural awareness and providing respectful, inclusive care
- Contributing to safe clinical practice and quality healthcare outcomes
Essential Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- A strong patient-centred approach to nursing care
- Broad generalist nursing knowledge and clinical capability
- Understanding of NSQHS Standards and best-practice aged care principles
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to delivering continuity of care for patients and residents
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional learning and skill development
- Understanding of continuous quality improvement in healthcare
- Demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and commitment to workplace wellbeing
- Respect for cultural diversity and the Active Service Model of care
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of primary health care models and rural or remote nursing practice
- Experience or interest in chronic disease management and community health programs
- Understanding of the role healthcare services play in supporting rural communities
