Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) is currently seeking qualified and experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to join our compassionate care team at Hetti Perkins Home for the Aged, located in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.

This is a permanent full-time residential opportunity, ideal for nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality aged care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of elderly residents. As part of the role, successful candidates will be required to relocate to Alice Springs, with relocation assistance of up to $5,000 included in the remuneration package.

As a Registered Nurse in our aged care facility, you will play a vital role in providing clinical care, ensuring residents receive person-centered support, and helping maintain a safe and respectful environment. In addition to direct care responsibilities, you will also provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to care staff, helping them deliver high-quality care aligned with the mission and values of ARRCS.

Remuneration and Benefits

Salary and Bonus Structure

  • Base hourly rate: $47.34 – $49.49 (AM rate)
  • Annual base salary: $93,543 – $96,468
  • Exclusive bonus structure: Up to $50,000 per year for the first two years (conditions apply)

Additional Financial Incentives

  • $10,000 gross bonus (pro-rata for part-time) paid upon successful completion of probation
  • Additional $10,000 gross bonus after a further six consecutive months of service
  • Bonus payments available for up to two years of continuous employment

Skills and Experience Required

To be considered for this Registered Nurse job in Alice Springs, applicants must demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:

Essential Requirements

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Full working rights in Australia (this position is not offered with visa sponsorship)
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse in an Australian healthcare setting (excluding graduate placements)
  • Understanding of contemporary nursing practices and aged care standards

Preferred Experience

While not essential, the following experience is highly valued:

  • Previous experience in aged care or geriatric nursing
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary and multicultural healthcare teams
  • Experience supporting Indigenous Australian communities or working in remote healthcare environments

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Intermediate computer and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a care team
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care
