As a Specialist Nurse, you will deliver advanced, patient-centred care in home environments—supporting early hospital discharge and preventing unnecessary admissions. This role offers a unique blend of autonomy and teamwork, allowing you to make independent clinical decisions while working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 days, including occasional weekends)
  • Location: Bristol and surrounding areas
  • Requirement: Full UK driving licence essential

Key Responsibilities

You will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care aligned with clinical standards and patient needs.

Your Day-to-Day Duties

  • Provide high-quality nursing care in patients’ homes
  • Administer therapeutic treatments, including IV and subcutaneous therapies
  • Conduct clinical assessments and make independent care decisions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
  • Identify, report, and escalate risks in line with clinical governance policies
  • Support patient safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding practices
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a confident and motivated nurse who thrives in an autonomous role while maintaining strong collaboration with colleagues.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN – Part 1) with active Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
  • Experience in acute care settings
  • Proven ability to make independent clinical decisions
  • Experience in clinical assessments and administering subcutaneous injections
  • Competence in IV therapy and managing IV devices (e.g., IVIg treatments)
  • Full UK driving licence
