About the Role
As a Remote Area Nurse, you will provide high-quality, culturally appropriate care across a wide scope of services, including:
- Community and primary healthcare
- Emergency response and patient triage
- Chronic disease management
- Health promotion and education
- Out-of-hospital emergency transport
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams—including Medical Officers, Allied Health, Mental Health, and Dental professionals—to deliver integrated, patient-centred care.
Work Locations
These roles are based in remote South Australian communities, including:
- Innamincka – approximately 1,174 km northeast of Adelaide
- Marree – approximately 660 km northeast of Adelaide
- Marla – approximately 970 km northwest of Adelaide
- Andamooka – approximately 600 km northwest of Adelaide
About You
You are an experienced and resilient nurse who thrives in remote environments and values meaningful community impact.
Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years post-registration experience
- Strong background in primary healthcare, emergency care, or rural health services
- Understanding of population health, community development, and social determinants of health
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills
- High level of emotional resilience and physical fitness
