HammondCare is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our dedicated Palliative Care team at Neringah Hospital. This 12-month fixed-term, part-time role offers the opportunity to deliver specialised, patient-centred care to individuals with complex needs—supporting them with dignity, comfort, and respect.

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in Palliative Care, you will be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering holistic care and clinical support to patients and their families.
You’ll contribute to a collaborative care model, combining clinical expertise with empathy to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients with palliative care needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in a palliative care setting
- Support patients and families with compassionate, person-centred care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Apply critical thinking and clinical judgement in complex care situations
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic patient record systems
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development
About You
You are a dedicated and skilled nurse with a genuine passion for palliative care. You bring both clinical expertise and emotional intelligence, enabling you to support patients and families through challenging times.
Essential Criteria
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 2 years’ post-graduate experience in a hospital setting
- Strong clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and organisational abilities
- Computer literacy, including experience with electronic medical records
Desirable:
- Experience in palliative care (inpatient or community settings)
