We are looking for a Practice Nurse who is passionate about primary care, general practice nursing, and community health to join our dynamic Auckland team.

Role Overview – Practice Nurse

As a Practice Nurse at Tend, you will be an integral member of our Care Team. You will provide holistic, culturally safe general practice nursing care in partnership with the Central Clinical Team. Your work will directly impact patient experiences and community health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a full range of primary care nursing services
  • Support medical certificate roster, PHO initiatives, recalls, and health targets
  • Guide and collaborate with the HCA team to ensure consistent high-quality patient care
  • Engage in preventative health programs and proactive patient support
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting

Candidate Profile

The ideal Practice Nurse will:

  • Hold current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • Have 1–2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, ideally in general practice or community nursing
  • Be committed to a long-term career in primary care nursing
  • Demonstrate flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
  • Current vaccinator and cervical smear taker certifications are highly desirable
