As the Nurse Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the success of this new urgent care model as it begins expanding nationally. This position offers the chance to build strong clinical systems, support healthcare professionals, and lead patient-focused care.

About the Role

In this position, you will oversee the daily clinical operations of a fast-paced urgent care environment. Your leadership will ensure that patients receive safe, efficient, and high-quality treatment.

Key Responsibilities

As the Nurse Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the urgent care centre is fully equipped, compliant, and operationally ready
  • Supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of clinical staff
  • Improving workflow processes to enhance patient flow and reduce waiting times
  • Leading quality assurance initiatives, clinical audits, and accreditation readiness
  • Managing stock levels, medical equipment, and medication safety
  • Providing clinical guidance and hands-on support to staff when required

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse qualification
  • Around 3+ years of recent clinical experience
  • Background in one or more of the following areas:
    • Emergency Department (ED)
    • Urgent Care
    • Triage
    • Critical Care or ICU
    • Remote or Rural Healthcare
    • Primary Care or Community Health
  • Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with team support
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
