Key Responsibilities of a Registered Nurse
Deliver Quality Clinical Care
- Perform safe clinical procedures and patient assessments
- Support preventative care and health education initiatives
Coordinate Patient Care
- Manage recalls, referrals, and follow-ups
- Ensure smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers
Support Practice Operations
- Assist GPs with clinical and administrative tasks
- Maintain accurate records using clinical systems
Skills and Qualifications
We’re looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse who combines technical expertise with empathy and cultural awareness.
Essential Requirements
- Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- Indemnity insurance cover
- Strong teamwork and independent working ability
- Commitment to equity-focused healthcare delivery
- Understanding of Cultural Safety and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience in primary healthcare nursing
- Triage experience
- Vaccinator, smear taker, or ACLS certification
- Familiarity with MedTech Evolution
- Knowledge of clinical programmes
Work Schedule and Employment Details
- Employment Type: Full-Time (32–40 hours per week, negotiable)
- Location: Picton, Marlborough, New Zealand
- Work Setting: On-site, general practice
