Key Responsibilities of a Registered Nurse

Deliver Quality Clinical Care

  • Perform safe clinical procedures and patient assessments
  • Support preventative care and health education initiatives

Coordinate Patient Care

  • Manage recalls, referrals, and follow-ups
  • Ensure smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers

Support Practice Operations

  • Assist GPs with clinical and administrative tasks
  • Maintain accurate records using clinical systems

Skills and Qualifications

We’re looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse who combines technical expertise with empathy and cultural awareness.

Essential Requirements

  • Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
  • Indemnity insurance cover
  • Strong teamwork and independent working ability
  • Commitment to equity-focused healthcare delivery
  • Understanding of Cultural Safety and Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience in primary healthcare nursing
  • Triage experience
  • Vaccinator, smear taker, or ACLS certification
  • Familiarity with MedTech Evolution
  • Knowledge of clinical programmes

Work Schedule and Employment Details

  • Employment Type: Full-Time (32–40 hours per week, negotiable)
  • Location: Picton, Marlborough, New Zealand
  • Work Setting: On-site, general practice
