Job Overview
- Location: Weymouth, Dorset
- Role: Healthcare Assistant – Complex Care
- Pay Rate: £15.20 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
- Shifts: Weekday, weeknight, and weekend options available
Typical Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 09:00 AM – 03:30 PM
- OR 08:30 AM – 04:00 PM
About the Role
You will be working closely with a child in a school environment, supporting their clinical and daily care needs. This is a 1:1 care role, where your presence directly contributes to their safety, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the child’s airway and overall health at all times
- Provide routine and emergency tracheostomy care
- Support safe participation in school and social activities
- Encourage developmentally appropriate play and engagement
- Assist with daily care routines and personal support
- Respond quickly and confidently in clinical situations
Clinical Skills & Training
You will support a range of clinical care tasks, including:
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- PEG feeding
- Catheter care
- Personal care support
No need to have all skills beforehand—full specialist training and competency sign-off will be provided by Harmony Healthcare’s clinical team.
