Job Overview

  • Location: Weymouth, Dorset
  • Role: Healthcare Assistant – Complex Care
  • Pay Rate: £15.20 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
  • Shifts: Weekday, weeknight, and weekend options available

Typical Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Friday
    • 09:00 AM – 03:30 PM
    • OR 08:30 AM – 04:00 PM

About the Role

You will be working closely with a child in a school environment, supporting their clinical and daily care needs. This is a 1:1 care role, where your presence directly contributes to their safety, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the child’s airway and overall health at all times
  • Provide routine and emergency tracheostomy care
  • Support safe participation in school and social activities
  • Encourage developmentally appropriate play and engagement
  • Assist with daily care routines and personal support
  • Respond quickly and confidently in clinical situations

Clinical Skills & Training

You will support a range of clinical care tasks, including:

  • Tracheostomy care and suctioning
  • PEG feeding
  • Catheter care
  • Personal care support

No need to have all skills beforehand—full specialist training and competency sign-off will be provided by Harmony Healthcare’s clinical team.
