Key Responsibilities
Public Health Nursing
- Provide community-based nursing services, including health assessments, screenings, and vaccinations.
- Promote wellness through health education programs targeting diverse populations.
- Respond to public health concerns and implement preventive strategies to reduce disease spread.
Patient Advocacy & Care Coordination
- Connect individuals and families with appropriate health care services.
- Collaborate with community partners, local health providers, and government agencies.
- Serve as a trusted resource for patients navigating public health systems.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of nursing interventions and patient interactions.
- Ensure compliance with Maryland Department of Health regulations and public health guidelines.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance community health outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current Maryland licensure.
- Proven experience in community health nursing or public health practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to educate and advocate for community members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse community settings.
- Knowledge of public health policies, preventive care programs, and local health regulations.
