Role: Clinical Nurse
Location: Southwest Region
Employment Type: Part-Time
Work Schedule
This role offers flexible working arrangements:
- 5-day fortnight or 3 days per week
- Thursdays and Fridays are essential due to service requirements
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse within the Clinical Supports Team, you will provide clinical expertise and guidance to ensure safe, high-quality care for our clients. You will collaborate with internal teams and external healthcare providers to deliver coordinated, person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical guidance and support to the Service Delivery Team
- Conduct customer assessments and develop personalised care plans
- Implement and evaluate nursing care to improve health outcomes
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in identifying and managing clinical corrective actions in collaboration with the National Manager Clinical Supports
- Work closely with customers, carers, healthcare professionals, and community partners to coordinate multidisciplinary care
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this Clinical Nurse position, you will bring strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience working within the disability sector.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in the disability sector
- Current AHPRA registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Strong knowledge of NDIS requirements and relevant legislation
- Experience using health management IT systems
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report writing skills
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution
You will also require:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
(Our team will guide you through these requirements if needed.)
Desirable
- Experience in mental health nursing
