Maryborough District Health Service is seeking a passionate and experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our Urgent Care Centre team. About the Role
As an ANUM in Urgent Care, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to support the daily operations and clinical coordination of the unit. You’ll play a key role in ensuring efficient patient flow, maintaining high standards of care, and fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nurse Unit Manager in clinical and operational leadership
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care aligned with best practice standards
- Coordinate staffing and patient flow for efficient service delivery
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and staff development
- Act as a mentor and clinical resource for nursing staff
- Promote a safe, supportive, and team-focused workplace culture
About You
You are a confident and compassionate nurse leader who brings both clinical expertise and a calm, solutions-focused approach to urgent care. You enjoy mentoring others, leading by example, and working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
Essential Criteria
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing (or equivalent), or working towards
- Competency in Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Demonstrated clinical experience in urgent care, including triage
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and leadership growth
