About the Registered Nurse Role

Deliver Exceptional Aged Care in a Supportive Team

As part of the Enliven residential care team, the Registered Nurse – Woburn Home Lower Hutt role focuses on providing high-quality clinical care while fostering a safe and nurturing environment for residents.

This role involves 64 hours per fortnight, working rotating shifts across morning, afternoon, and night schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive aged care nursing services for residents
  • Supervise and guide Healthcare Assistants to maintain best-practice care standards
  • Support residents living in rest home, hospital, and dementia care environments
  • Encourage independence and participation in daily activities
  • Monitor health conditions and maintain accurate electronic clinical records
  • Promote wellbeing and quality of life for residents

Your leadership and clinical judgement will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of care and ensuring residents feel safe, respected, and valued.

What We’re Looking For

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring both clinical expertise and genuine compassion for supporting older adults.

Requirements include:

  • Current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time nursing experience
  • Experience supporting elderly residents or patients with complex health conditions
  • Ability to supervise teams delivering daily personal care
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Experience with InterRAI assessment systems is an advantage, but full training can be provided.
