Role Overview
As a Staff Nurse in Ward 2C (30-bed unit), you will provide specialist care to patients experiencing a wide range of conditions, including:
- Acute illness
- Delirium and dementia
- Parkinson’s disease
- Palliative care needs
You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure every patient receives holistic, respectful, and relationship-centred care throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Specialist Elderly Care
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to older adults
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate personalised care plans
- Support patients with complex physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
Work Within a Multidisciplinary Team
- Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and support staff
- Ensure seamless, coordinated care across the patient pathway
- Advocate for patient dignity, independence, and wellbeing
Maintain High Clinical Standards
- Deliver care in line with NHS Scotland policies and best practices
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
- Contribute to continuous improvement and quality care initiatives

Working Pattern
- 12-hour rotational shifts
- Flexible working within a supportive team environment
