About Werribee Mercy Hospital

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a leading public hospital in Melbourne’s western region, providing high-quality care to a rapidly expanding community.

As part of an exciting growth phase, the hospital is undergoing a $110 million Emergency Department expansion, set for completion in late 2026. This development will enhance patient care services and create new opportunities for emergency nursing professionals.

About the Role

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will deliver holistic, patient-centred care in a fast-paced and dynamic clinical environment.

You’ll be supported by a dedicated education team offering tailored training and ongoing development, helping you thrive in emergency care.

What You’ll Bring

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse in an Australian acute care setting
  • Strong clinical, organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt, prioritise, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • A patient-centred and team-oriented approach

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in an Emergency Department setting
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Critical Care Nursing

Compliance Requirements

Successful applicants will need to provide:

  • Current Police Record Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Evidence of influenza vaccination and other required immunisations
