Role of a Community Health Nurse

A Community Health Nurse provides comprehensive primary healthcare services designed to improve community wellness and support individuals throughout different stages of life.

Health Promotion and Disease Prevention

Patient Assessment and Care Delivery

Professional Certifications

  • Current CPR certification with annual renewal
  • Eligibility for registration with the College and Association of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut

Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are considered valuable assets.

Recruitment Bonuses
