Work Across Diverse Clinical Specialties
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple disciplines, including:
- Urology
- Trauma & Orthopaedics
- Dermatology
- Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS)
- Additional surgical and medical specialties
This position is ideal for candidates with experience in theatre settings, outpatient care, or procedural environments, and a passion for delivering safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care Delivery
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care during minor procedures
- Prepare patients, clinical environments, and equipment in line with infection prevention protocols
- Assist in surgical and diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Monitor patients pre- and post-procedure, responding promptly to clinical changes
- Deliver clear discharge advice and aftercare instructions
- Administer medications in accordance with NMC guidelines and Trust policies
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Support clinic operations and collaborate with healthcare support staff
Flexible Working Across UHD Sites
While this role is currently based at St Mary’s site, the service is expected to relocate in the coming years. Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work across University Hospitals Dorset sites depending on service needs.
