Role Overview

As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and delivering care, and evaluating outcomes to ensure the highest standards of treatment and support.

You will manage a defined group of patients, contribute to ward leadership, and act as a role model within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver High-Quality Nursing Care

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care programmes
  • Provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients and their families
  • Maintain high clinical standards within the ward or department

Patient Management & Coordination

  • Take responsibility for managing a group of patients
  • Ensure continuity and quality of care throughout the patient journey
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider care team

Leadership & Ward Management

  • Take charge of the ward when required and deemed competent
  • Support the supervision and coordination of staff and resources
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and patient-focused environment

Mentorship & Team Support

  • Act as a role model for students and junior staff
  • Support the development of Nursing Assistants, Trainees, and Associates
  • Promote a positive and professional team culture
