About the Role
As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering a comprehensive school nursing service within an integrated healthcare setting. You’ll work closely with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, personalised care.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver High-Quality Clinical Care
- Conduct health assessments, clinics, and tailored interventions
- Deliver evidence-based treatments aligned with best practices
- Administer medications safely and effectively
Promote Health & Wellbeing
- Support the delivery of a healthy child programme
- Encourage positive health behaviours and lifestyle choices
- Provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care
Safeguard and Protect
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children
- Carry out risk assessments and follow safeguarding protocols
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies
Work as Part of a Multidisciplinary Team
- Collaborate with primary care, mental health, and substance misuse teams
- Build strong therapeutic relationships with young people and families
- Contribute to integrated care planning and service development
Maintain Excellence in Care Delivery
- Keep accurate and up-to-date clinical records
- Follow evidence-based policies and procedures
- Support and supervise junior staff and student nurses

Requirements
Essential:
- Registered Nurse (Adult, Child, Mental Health, or Learning Disability)
- Active NMC registration
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
Desirable:
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or families
- Background in community, education, or inpatient settings
- Mentorship or teaching qualification
Working Pattern
- Flexible working hours, including weekends and unsocial hours when required
