Your Role as a Restorative Nurse

Supporting Recovery, Mobility, and Independence

As a Restorative Nurse, you will play a vital role in designing and overseeing programs that help residents maintain and improve their functional abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement restorative care programs tailored to individual needs
  • Conduct restorative assessments and monitor patient progress
  • Coordinate care plans in collaboration with therapists and nursing staff
  • Complete MDS assessments related to restorative services
  • Promote rehabilitation nursing practices that enhance mobility and independence
  • Educate staff and residents on restorative goals and interventions
  • Review fall prevention strategies and safety protocols
  • Support bowel and bladder care programs with appropriate interventions

Qualifications

  • Active nursing license (as required by the state)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
  • Completion of a restorative nursing program (or willingness to complete)
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Experience in geriatric care, functional recovery programs, or skilled nursing facilities is highly valued.
