Role of a Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse works under the leadership of the Director of Care and Clinical Nursing Leaders to provide high-quality nursing care to residents. Nurses are responsible for supporting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of elderly residents in a collaborative interdisciplinary health care team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, your role will include:

  • Conducting resident health assessments upon admission and ongoing evaluations
  • Developing and updating individualized nursing care plans
  • Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders
  • Providing direct hands-on care, including assistance with daily living activities (ADLs)
  • Monitoring residents’ health conditions and responding to changes promptly
  • Collaborating with physicians, families, and allied health professionals
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and medical records
  • Supporting quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
  • Mentoring nursing students and new staff members
  • Participating in interdisciplinary meetings and care planning discussions

Qualifications and Professional Requirements
