Troocoo is partnering with a respected not-for-profit aged care provider to recruit experienced Registered Nurses for roles based in Hervey Bay or Maryborough on Queensland’s beautiful Fraser Coast.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver person-centred care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for residents. You will also guide care teams and collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

  • Conduct health assessments using a Positive Wellbeing Model
  • Develop and review evidence-based care plans with residents and care teams
  • Monitor resident health and respond to changes in condition
  • Maintain accurate electronic clinical documentation
  • Coordinate care with internal teams and external healthcare providers

Leadership and Quality

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to care staff and students
  • Promote a collaborative and respectful team culture
  • Ensure compliance with aged care standards and policies
  • Support quality improvement and risk management initiatives
  • Contribute to service planning and continuous improvement

About You

You are a compassionate Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality aged care. You enjoy mentoring others, working collaboratively in a team, and contributing to continuous improvement in healthcare services.

Essential Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Valid CPR certification and driver’s licence
  • Experience in aged care or a similar clinical setting
  • Strong clinical judgement and communication skills
  • Experience with electronic documentation systems
  • Full working rights in Australia (visa sponsorship not available)

Desirable Skills

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Gerontology, Dementia Care, or related fields
  • Experience supervising staff, students, or volunteers
  • Knowledge of aged care accreditation and quality frameworks

Compliance Requirements

  • National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)
  • COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations as required
  • National Personal Insolvency Check
