About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in a Medical Ward, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and delivering care, and evaluating outcomes to ensure the highest standards of clinical practice.

You’ll work both independently and collaboratively, supporting patients with varying levels of dependency while contributing to a safe and effective care environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patient care needs and develop personalised care plans
  • Deliver and evaluate high-quality nursing care
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Supervise and support registered and unregistered staff, including student nurses
  • Demonstrate clinical procedures and promote best practice standards
  • Provide leadership support in the absence of senior staff when required

About You

You are a dedicated and adaptable nurse who is confident working both independently and as part of a team. With strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach, you are committed to delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong teamwork and ability to use initiative
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Basic IT and clinical system knowledge

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Experience in a previous Registered Nurse role
  • Skills in IV therapy, cannulation, or phlebotomy
  • Knowledge of NHS patient management systems
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and positive role modelling
