Position Overview

As a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) at Boyne Lodge Personal Care Home, you will:

• Apply the nursing process to support residents in achieving optimal health.
• Provide care across multiple settings including acute care, personal care homes, home care, public health, and primary health care.
• Engage in continuous professional development and maintain competencies according to Southern Health-Santé Sud policies, the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba, and the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba.
• Exercise independent judgment, prioritize tasks, and support quality improvement initiatives.

This role encourages autonomy while fostering collaboration in an interdisciplinary healthcare environment.

Required Qualifications

• Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license, insured vehicle ($1,000,000 liability).
• Completion of mandatory courses such as SCHIPP & VPP relevant to your area of practice.

• Strong understanding of Professional Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
• Ability to foster collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Conflict resolution, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English; French proficiency an asset for bilingual positions.
• Respect for cultural diversity and confidentiality.
• Adaptability to varied shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends.
