Your Role as a Registered Nurse

In this position, you will take responsibility for delivering professional nursing care in alignment with established policies, standards, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care
• Support surgical and perioperative procedures within the operating room
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
• Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment in decision-making
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Certifications

We’re looking for a skilled Registered Nurse who demonstrates both clinical expertise and a commitment to excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Completion of an Operating Room Course (including clinical component)

Preferred Certifications (Assets):

• Canadian Perioperative Nursing Certification
• Coronary Care Course
• CSAO Course

Experience & Professional Background

• Current experience in a General Operating Room setting
• Experience in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is an asset
• Background in surgical nursing preferred
• Active participation in professional nursing associations
