Make an Impact in Community Healthcare
As a registered nurse in mental health and addictions, you will play a vital role in improving community healthcare outcomes. Your work will directly support harm reduction, safety, and long-term recovery for vulnerable populations.
We are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time positions, offering flexibility while allowing you to build strong, therapeutic relationships with clients.
Your Role as a Registered Nurse
Working as part of an interdisciplinary care team, you will deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care tailored to each client’s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT), including methadone and buprenorphine/naloxone
- Conduct observed dosing and ensure accurate medication administration
- Monitor client progress, adherence, and overall well-being
- Communicate clinical updates and risks to pharmacists and healthcare providers
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and community partners for coordinated care
- Educate clients on harm reduction, overdose prevention, and safe medication use
- Distribute naloxone kits and support overdose prevention initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with provincial healthcare standards
What You Bring to the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated registered nurse who combines clinical expertise with empathy and professionalism.
Required Qualifications:
- Active registration as an RN or LPN in good standing with BCCNM
- Valid BC Driver’s License
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Experience:
- Background in mental health nursing or substance use care
- Knowledge of harm reduction and trauma-informed practices
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
