About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Enliven Bureau team, you will provide flexible, high-quality nursing support at Chalmers Home in New Plymouth. This casual role allows you to work across AM, PM, and night shifts, supporting residents who require rest home and hospital-level care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, compassionate clinical care for older adults
  • Support residents with complex health needs in a rest home and hospital care setting
  • Lead and guide healthcare assistants to maintain high care standards
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary aged care team
  • Respond to short-notice shifts and provide flexible workforce support
  • Ensure residents experience comfort, dignity, and a high quality of life

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated and reliable Registered Nurse who thrives in dynamic environments and values meaningful patient connections.

Essential Requirements

  • Current NZ Registered Nurse with valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in aged care nursing or complex adult care
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to guide care teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently, including sole-charge situations

Preferred Skills

  • InterRAI experience (training provided)
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and nights
  • Proximity to New Plymouth for ease of travel
