About the Role: Palliative Care Nurse
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience or strong interest in palliative care nursing to join our inpatient nursing team.
This role is ideal for nurses who value holistic patient care, collaborative healthcare environments, and meaningful patient relationships.
Key Responsibilities
As a Palliative Care Nurse, you will:
- Deliver specialist nursing care to patients with life-limiting conditions
- Support patients and families through compassionate end-of-life care planning
- Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and community health professionals
- Provide emotional and educational support to patients and whānau
- Apply evidence-based palliative care practices
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the hospice
This position involves working within a highly supportive multidisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring patients receive coordinated and compassionate care.

- Registered Nurse qualification with relevant clinical experience

- Confidence working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Compassionate approach when supporting patients and families
Experience in hospice care, community nursing, or end-of-life care services is highly valued.
