Nurse Job Responsibilities

Delivering Compassionate, Patient-Centered Care

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Easterseals Redwood, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals participating in the organization’s day health programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Deliver healthcare services based on physician orders and individualized care protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support physical, emotional, and developmental needs
  • Support clients in developing self-care skills and daily living abilities
  • Educate families, guardians, and caregivers about health management and care plans
  • Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and positioning
  • Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and clinical activities

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Successful completion of background and registry checks

Physical Requirements

This nursing role requires physical stamina and mobility, including:

  • Lifting or assisting individuals up to 50 pounds
  • Wheelchair transfers and positioning support
