Key Qualifications for Nurse II

To succeed as a Nurse II, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Active Licensure: Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) or eligibility for licensure.
• Life Support Training: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Clinical Expertise: Strong knowledge and ability to demonstrate nursing skills in accordance with approved standards of practice.
• Decision-Making Skills: Capability to make effective, independent nursing care decisions.
• Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic healthcare software.

What You’ll Do as a Nurse II

As a Nurse II, your responsibilities will include:

• Practicing in accordance with the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics, CRNM or CRPNM standards, and relevant provincial and federal legislation.
• Applying your clinical expertise to make informed decisions about patient care, ensuring safety, quality, and effectiveness.
• Continuously developing and maintaining competencies relevant to your role and scope of practice.
• Performing other duties as assigned while upholding professional and ethical standards.
