Role Overview: Nurse – Women’s Outreach Program

The nurse in the Women’s Outreach Program is responsible for delivering essential nursing care and supporting individuals experiencing behavioral health and substance-related challenges. This position combines clinical expertise with compassionate patient interaction to ensure individuals receive the highest quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct nursing assessments and health screenings for individuals in the program
  • Develop and maintain individualized nursing care plans
  • Administer medications and monitor treatment responses
  • Perform clinical testing, including RPR, TB, and Hepatitis C screenings
  • Observe, document, and report changes in patient health conditions
  • Provide health education and wellness guidance to individuals, families, and staff
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and case discussions
  • Respond to and manage acute crisis situations when necessary
  • Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
  • Ensure proper inventory and management of medical supplies
