About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will work alongside dental students, faculty, and healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care in an interprofessional environment. Your expertise will help integrate medical and dental care, ensuring a holistic approach to patient health.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with dental students and faculty to conduct patient assessments and screenings
- Educate students on identifying co-morbidities and health risks
- Perform patient history reviews, physical examinations, and clinical evaluations
- Support vaccination programs and annual health assessments
- Assist in developing protocols for medical emergency preparedness and prevention
- Create and implement individualized patient management plans
- Interpret diagnostic tests and coordinate care with healthcare professionals
Qualifications
We’re looking for a highly skilled and collaborative licensed nurse who thrives in an educational and clinical setting:
- Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- National board certification in a specialty area
- Knowledge of pharmacology and federal healthcare regulations
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
