Nurse Role Overview

The Nurse plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care to residents in a memory care community. This position focuses on resident assessments, care planning, medication administration, and staff leadership to ensure each resident receives personalized and compassionate support.

Working closely with the Clinical Services Director and Registered Nurse leadership, the Nurse helps maintain clinical excellence while promoting the emotional and physical well-being of residents.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assessing resident health needs and implementing care plans
  • Providing medication administration and treatment services
  • Supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Resident Assistants
  • Supporting families and addressing resident concerns
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and policies

Key Responsibilities of the Nurse

Resident Assessment and Care Planning

The Nurse evaluates resident health conditions and develops individualized care plans that address both physical and psychological needs. Continuous monitoring ensures that care plans evolve as residents’ needs change.

Medication Administration and Treatment

Administering prescribed medications and treatments is a critical part of the role. The nurse ensures all medications are provided safely and in accordance with physician orders and established nursing protocols.

Leadership and Team Supervision
