Dignity Health YRMC, now part of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking a motivated National Resident Nurse to join our residency program in Prescott, Arizona. This role bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world nursing practice, allowing new nurses to gain practical experience, develop strong patient relationships, and grow as confident healthcare professionals.
About the Role
As a National Resident Nurse, you will:
- Work closely with a clinical preceptor to deliver compassionate care
- Apply nursing knowledge across diverse clinical settings
- Develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills
- Participate in structured professional growth and training programs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic, patient-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients, formulate nursing diagnoses, plan interventions, and evaluate care outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Calculate dosages, flow rates, and other clinical measurements
- Present information clearly to patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Apply analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and implement effective solutions

Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with at least an Associate’s Degree (ADN)
- 0–12 months professional nursing experience (RN)
- Active RN license in the practicing state by program start (7/20/2026)
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
- Essay outlining motivation to join CommonSpirit Health and commitment to the mission of humankindness
- Unofficial transcripts with GPA
- Ability to maintain perfect attendance and work at least 3 days per week after first 12 weeks
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- ACLS Certification (American Heart Association)
