About the Graduate Registered Nurse Role

As a graduate registered nurse, you will work within a community healthcare setting, visiting patients in their homes and delivering professional nursing care. The role focuses on improving patient wellbeing, supporting recovery, and empowering individuals to live independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide wound care and specialist clinical support to patients in their homes
• Conduct patient health assessments and develop care plans
• Support patients through education, recovery, and ongoing monitoring
• Build strong relationships with GP practices and healthcare professionals
• Manage patient cases from initial assessment to recovery

Required Qualifications

• Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) or in the process of obtaining one
• Registered Nurse qualification recognized in New Zealand
• Eligibility to legally work in New Zealand
• Valid New Zealand driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle

Preferred Skills

• Interest in wound management, including complex wounds and burns
• Knowledge or interest in catheter care and community health services
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• A caring, empathetic approach to patient care

• Position: Graduate Registered Nurse – Community Nursing
• Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
• Location: Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
• Work Setting: On-site community nursing (home visits)
