Role Overview

As a Staff Nurse in Endoscopy, you will work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team (MDT), delivering safe and effective care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

You will be supported by dedicated Clinical Educators, ensuring a structured induction and ongoing professional development aligned with the latest national standards.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Specialist Patient Care

• Provide high-quality nursing care within the Endoscopy unit
• Support patients throughout their diagnostic and treatment journey
• Ensure safety, dignity, and comfort at all times

Work Within a Specialist MDT

• Collaborate with expert teams including:
  • CNS Liver
  • CNS IBD
  • CNS Nutrition
• Support services such as the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme

Clinical Skills & Development

• Undertake training aligned with JAG (Joint Advisory Group) – JETS accreditation standards
• Participate in both internal and external training programmes
• Continuously develop specialist skills in gastroenterology and endoscopic care

Teamwork & Initiative

• Work independently while contributing effectively within a team
• Adapt to the varied and fast-paced nature of endoscopy services
• Maintain high standards of clinical practice and patient care
