Role Overview
As a Staff Nurse in Endoscopy, you will work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team (MDT), delivering safe and effective care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
You will be supported by dedicated Clinical Educators, ensuring a structured induction and ongoing professional development aligned with the latest national standards.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Specialist Patient Care
- Provide high-quality nursing care within the Endoscopy unit
- Support patients throughout their diagnostic and treatment journey
- Ensure safety, dignity, and comfort at all times
Work Within a Specialist MDT
- Collaborate with expert teams including:
- CNS Liver
- CNS IBD
- CNS Nutrition
- Support services such as the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme
Clinical Skills & Development
- Undertake training aligned with JAG (Joint Advisory Group) – JETS accreditation standards
- Participate in both internal and external training programmes
- Continuously develop specialist skills in gastroenterology and endoscopic care
Teamwork & Initiative
- Work independently while contributing effectively within a team
- Adapt to the varied and fast-paced nature of endoscopy services
- Maintain high standards of clinical practice and patient care
