Job Description
The Department of Health is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Level 3 to join the Operating Theatre team in Darwin and Palmerston. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced nursing professionals to take on a leadership-focused clinical role within a dynamic healthcare environment.
In this position, you will apply advanced nursing knowledge and clinical expertise to deliver high-quality care while building strong therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and the wider community. You will also play a key role in supporting team collaboration and maintaining best practices in perioperative care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced clinical nursing care within the operating theatre
- Provide leadership and support to nursing teams
- Build and maintain professional relationships with patients and families
- Contribute to safe, efficient, and patient-centred care practices
- Support continuous improvement and clinical excellence
Essential Requirements
- Registration as a qualified nurse
- Demonstrated experience in an operating theatre or perioperative setting
- Strong clinical decision-making and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Important:
A postgraduate qualification is required for ongoing appointment. However, candidates without this qualification may still be considered and offered a fixed-term contract, with the expectation of completing the qualification during the employment period.
