An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced nurse to join the Day Surgery Unit at Hollywood Private Hospital as a Clinical Nurse. This full-time maximum term position offers the chance to work in a highly specialised Endoscopy Suite while developing leadership and clinical expertise.

The Endoscopy Suite at Hollywood Private Hospital delivers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. The unit features 17 bed bays, 14 discharge pods, and four modern procedure rooms equipped with advanced endoscopy technology.

As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations within the unit. You will support the Clinical Nurse Manager, guide the nursing team, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will balance clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Identify and anticipate patient needs and clinical risks
  • Support daily coordination of the Day Surgery Unit
  • Assist in developing and mentoring nursing staff
  • Communicate effectively in fast-paced and changing environments
  • Contribute to quality improvement and clinical governance

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate is a skilled and motivated nurse with strong clinical knowledge and the ability to lead within a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Requirements

  • Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Postgraduate qualification or credential in a relevant specialty with at least 12 months’ experience
    OR
  • Minimum of 4 years post-registration experience, including 3 years in endoscopy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Leadership capability and portfolio management experience
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with accreditation processes and quality improvement projects
