About the Role – Clinical Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Clinical Nurse to contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services within Griffith’s Health and Medical Services team.

You will play a key leadership role, supporting healthcare professionals while delivering primary healthcare services to students, staff, and visitors across the university.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Service Delivery

  • Provide leadership and guidance to healthcare professionals within the service
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of clinical and nursing services across all practice locations
  • Support high standards of patient care aligned with best practices

Patient Care & Treatment

  • Conduct health assessments and provide treatment for illness and injury
  • Assist visiting doctors and allied health professionals with ongoing patient care
  • Deliver primary healthcare services tailored to the university community

Compliance & Quality Standards

  • Ensure compliance with RACGP accreditation standards and relevant healthcare regulations
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records, reports, and service data
  • Support continuous improvement in clinical services

Health Promotion & Education

  • Deliver health education through workshops, seminars, and informational resources
  • Promote wellbeing initiatives across the campus community
  • Develop and maintain referral networks both on and off campus

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with Student Life teams to support health-related student needs
  • Contribute to a collaborative and multidisciplinary healthcare environment

About You

You are a dedicated and experienced nurse who brings both clinical expertise and a passion for community healthcare. You are confident in leadership, adaptable in a dynamic environment, and committed to delivering safe, high-quality care.

Essential Requirements

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
  • Ability to lead and support healthcare teams effectively

Health & Compliance Requirements

You must be vaccinated against the following vaccine-preventable diseases:

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
  • Hepatitis B
