About the Role
This is not your typical nursing position. As a Clinical Nurse within the Elective Bookings Office, you will operate at the intersection of clinical care, healthcare operations, and data-driven decision-making.
You will take the lead in managing elective surgery waitlists, ensuring patients receive care when they need it—while maintaining compliance with national healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate elective surgery waitlist management in line with national targets and ESSIS standards
- Analyse and audit waitlist data to improve patient flow and surgical scheduling
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise theatre utilisation
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to administrative and nursing staff
- Drive service improvements through data insights and operational strategy
- Ensure fair, timely, and transparent access to surgical care
