Position Overview – Nurse (Clinical/Ambulatory) GS-610-11
Location: Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, Hinesville, GA
Salary: $80,910 – $102,763 per year
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site
Primary Specialties: Radiology, OB/GYN, Urology, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Dermatology

At Winn Army Community Hospital, a 112-bed community hospital, you will contribute to a new Women’s Health and Mammography Center and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care for soldiers and their families.
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical/Ambulatory Nurse, you will:
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Conduct comprehensive clinical and telephone triaging
- Administer medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous routes
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and specialty care
Patient & Staff Education
- Provide guidance and education to patients, families, and staff
- Orient new staff to clinic procedures and standards
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain competency folders and ensure adherence to Joint Commission standards
- Accurately document patient care and clinical observations
Care Coordination & Crisis Management
- Facilitate multidisciplinary coordination of patient care
- Respond to acute patient care situations as necessary
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following:
Basic Nursing Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Associate, or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited professional nursing program
- Current, active, unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state, DC, Puerto Rico, or territory
- Passing score on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX)
Experience Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience providing ambulatory care, medication administration, and patient/staff education
- Doctoral degree (PhD) in nursing or related medical science qualifies as an advanced option
Special Considerations
- U.S. citizenship required
- Foreign degree holders must provide CGFNS certification and proof of English proficiency
- Current federal employees in the 0610 occupational series may be exempt from certain requirements
