Job Description

Are you a compassionate nurse with a passion for delivering specialist cancer care? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated Breast Cancer Nursing Team, where your work will directly support patients and families through one of the most challenging journeys of their lives.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced Breast Care Clinical Nurse Specialists, providing high-quality, holistic care across the entire patient pathway—from diagnosis and treatment to survivorship and metastatic care.

Role Overview

As a Breast Cancer Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive seamless, personalised, and evidence-based care. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT), contributing to clinical excellence while offering emotional support to patients, relatives, and carers.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Patient-Centred Cancer Care

  • Support patients throughout their breast cancer journey, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
  • Provide compassionate care tailored to individual patient needs
  • Offer guidance and support to families and carers

Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with consultants, specialists, and MDT members
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using evidence-based practices
  • Ensure a coordinated and seamless patient experience

Nurse-Led Clinics & Specialist Support

  • Deliver nurse-led clinics for breast cancer patients
  • Provide expert advice, symptom management, and ongoing support
  • Refer patients to appropriate consultant-led or follow-up pathways when needed

Clinical Excellence & Leadership

  • Maintain high standards of clinical care through advanced knowledge and specialist skills
  • Contribute to service improvement and patient outcomes
  • Act as a role model for professional nursing practice
