Job Description
West Moreton Health is currently offering multiple permanent and fixed-term temporary part-time opportunities for qualified Enrolled Nurses (EN – Endorsed) to join our dedicated healthcare teams. These roles are coordinated through the Nursing and Midwifery Centralised Recruitment Team, which manages recruitment across several organisational units within the health service.
In this role, the Enrolled Nurse (EN) works under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) to deliver safe, high-quality, and person-centred care. The focus is on supporting patients and their families through compassionate care, strong clinical practices, and a commitment to professional standards set by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
Successful candidates will contribute to the delivery of healthcare services by applying their clinical training, adhering to relevant legislation, and maintaining best practices in patient care. About You
We are looking for motivated and compassionate nursing professionals who are committed to delivering safe and effective patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualities and capabilities:
- Clinical Knowledge: Current clinical knowledge in general medical and surgical nursing, or a strong interest in developing expertise in these areas.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities, including the confidence to escalate concerns appropriately to a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife.
- Patient-Centred Care: A genuine commitment to providing high-quality care to patients, families, and caregivers through empathy, active listening, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability: Effective self-management skills with the ability to remain flexible and respond positively to changing clinical environments.
- Respect and Inclusivity: An understanding of and respect for the diverse needs of patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
- Quality and Safety Focus: Knowledge of quality improvement processes and a commitment to evidence-based healthcare practices.
- Professional Integrity: Demonstrated honesty, respect, and professionalism when working with patients, carers, and staff.
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must meet the following mandatory requirement:
- Be vaccinated and remain vaccinated against specific vaccine-preventable diseases (VPD) in accordance with Health Employment Directive No. 01/16.
