About the Role

The Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct provides a nurse-led 24/7 healthcare service supporting young people through integrated primary care, mental health, allied health, and dental services.

As a Registered Nurse, you will join a multidisciplinary healthcare team delivering trauma-informed, culturally safe, and person-centred care within a custodial setting. This role goes beyond clinical practice — it involves advocacy, connection, and supporting young people on their journey toward better health and wellbeing.

This position operates on a rotating roster across all shifts, supported by a collaborative team committed to making a meaningful difference.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Conducting triage and health screenings to ensure appropriate care
  • Recording and maintaining accurate electronic medical records
  • Documenting patient medical history and assessments
  • Performing physical examinations and clinical care as directed by a GP
  • Supporting multidisciplinary healthcare services for young people

About You

Our ideal candidate will bring both clinical expertise and a strong commitment to community health.

You will have:

  • Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration
  • Experience delivering group or individual health interventions using a human rights-based approach
  • Training in clinical supervision or reflective practice (desirable)
  • A strong alignment with cohealth’s values and mission
