This role is ideal for newly qualified Registered Nurses who want to develop strong clinical foundations while delivering meaningful care in patients’ homes. As part of Healthvision NZ’s community nursing team, you’ll provide wound care, specialist clinical services, and ongoing patient support across the Greater Tauranga area.

Unlike hospital-based roles, this position allows you to build deeper connections with clients while delivering personalised, continuity-focused care.

About the Role

Location: Greater Tauranga Area, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
Work Setting: Community-based / In-home clinical care

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Visiting patients in their homes to deliver wound care and clinical support
  • Developing assessment and clinical decision-making skills
  • Gaining practical experience in case management and patient education
  • Building collaborative relationships with GP practices and healthcare professionals
  • Providing continuity of care from initial assessment to recovery

This structured role ensures you develop autonomy while remaining supported by an experienced nursing team.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) or in the process of obtaining one
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand
  • Full NZ Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Effective time management and organisational ability

Preferred Interests & Skills

  • Wound management (including simple, complex wounds, and burns)
  • Catheter care and in-home clinical procedures
  • Patient-centred care and community health services

A caring nature and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds are essential.
