Alexander House Care Home, a newly built and modern facility in the peaceful suburb of Pinhoe, Exeter, is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) to join our growing team. Our home provides high-quality nursing, residential, dementia, and respite care for up to 67 residents.

Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and leading your team with confidence:
Deliver High-Quality Care
- Create and implement personalised care plans tailored to each resident
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing through regular observations
- Administer medications safely in line with MAR protocols
Lead and Support the Team
- Coordinate and lead shifts effectively
- Ensure smooth and clear handovers between teams
- Provide guidance and mentorship to care staff
Maintain Accurate Records
- Keep clear, accurate, and legally compliant care documentation
- Communicate updates effectively with colleagues and healthcare professionals
Build Strong Relationships
- Develop meaningful connections with residents and their families
- Address concerns with empathy, professionalism, and urgency
Promote Wellbeing & Independence
- Encourage residents to stay active and independent
- Support daily living activities with dignity and respect
- Promote proper nutrition and hydration
Ensure Safety & Emergency Response
- Maintain a safe and secure care environment
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies
What We’re Looking For
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Valid and active NMC PIN
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
- Ability to work alternate weekends
- Care home experience is desirable but not essential
