As a Band C Nurse, you will provide specialist palliative and end-of-life care to children and young people with complex needs. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will deliver holistic, family-centred care that prioritises comfort, dignity, and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Specialist Care

  • Provide high-quality paediatric palliative care and end-of-life support
  • Deliver holistic care tailored to each child’s physical, emotional, and social needs
  • Support families with compassion, guidance, and reassurance

Clinical Excellence

  • Maintain the highest standards of nursing care and safety
  • Work collaboratively with the wider care team to ensure coordinated support
  • Monitor and respond to complex clinical needs

Communication & Family Support

  • Build trusting relationships with children and their families
  • Communicate sensitively during emotionally challenging situations
  • Ensure families feel supported, informed, and involved in care decisions

Professional Development

  • Participate in ongoing training and development programmes
  • Continuously enhance clinical skills and knowledge
  • Act as a role model within the team

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse (Adult or Children’s) with paediatric experience
  • Strong understanding of children’s palliative care and complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and lead when required
