About the Role

As an Attendant Care Nurse, you will support the Attendant Care Project by planning, implementing, and evaluating health services for individuals requiring personalized care. You’ll work closely with participants, caregivers, and healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective, and compliant care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, certify, and train individuals and caregivers in self-directed and representative-directed care
  • Deliver both individual and group training sessions on safe care practices
  • Evaluate attendants’ ability to provide participant-specific care
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and healthcare regulations
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy procedures
  • Collaborate with public health professionals and community resources
  • Travel across assigned counties using a state-provided vehicle

Qualifications

  • Strong ability to plan, organize, and manage tasks independently

  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with 2+ years of experience, OR
  • Diploma in Nursing with 3+ years of experience
  • Experience in public health nursing, long-term care, or disability services
  • Background working with individuals with chronic conditions, disabilities, or aging populations
