About the Role

As a Residential Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care within a residential setting. You’ll work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure residents receive the support they need to thrive safely and independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review pre-admission evaluations, program plans, and placement strategies
  • Conduct 30-day post-admission assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Create discharge plans and participate in care conferences
  • Identify and manage health risks and safety concerns
  • Monitor and report communicable diseases to appropriate medical authorities
  • Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of behavioral health programs
  • Refer residents to relevant community healthcare resources
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including monthly progress notes
  • Recognize early signs of illness and ensure timely medical intervention
  • Support residents with daily health needs, hygiene, and wellness education

Qualifications

We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled licensed nurse who is committed to high-quality care:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the New York State Department of Education
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a residential care setting

Compensation & Schedule

  • Salary: $40.00 – $47.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Varies based on program needs
  • Work Type: On-site, Full-time
