The Alasdair Macdonald Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a 25-bed, high-acuity unit specialising in acute medicine. With a strong multidisciplinary approach, AMU provides a supportive and inclusive environment focused on learning, professional growth, and staff wellbeing.

About the Organisation
The Department of Health Tasmania delivers healthcare services across major hospitals including Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, North West Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, along with community and primary care services across 300+ sites.

Position Details
- Type: Fixed-term, part-time (shift work)
- Hours: Up to 56 hours per fortnight
- Duration: 25 May 2026 – 25 May 2027 (flexible)
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: $80,524 – $109,175 per annum (pro rata)
- Superannuation: 12% employer contribution
- Postgraduate allowance up to 10% (if applicable)
